Warm welcome. Pleasant view of the garden and the sea from the balcony. Central location. Parking on site. Free wi-fi. Good selection at breakfast. Ver nice salon with comfortable leather sofa and chairs.
The balconies all ran together, so others could walk past your room and look in. Only a hand held shower, off the bath taps, and had no curtain - water went all over.

A perfect location with beautiful view to the sea. Lovely castel hotel. Great restaurant and friendly stuff. The room on the upper level with sea view is really great.
There was no minibar in the room. The restaurant is quite expensive.

Great views and delicious food We enjoyed the amazing views that we got from our room during our romantic escape. the location was perfect, just a short walk to a well-known seafood restaurant and a museum. the food in the hotel was really good, we had no complaints - everything was delicious.
Our experience was also negatively affected by the closure of the hotel restaurant during our visit, meaning we had to venture out to find something to eat in the area.

The restaurant was good for dinner, and the house has charm.
the hallways in the new section were very dim and needed refurbishing. Rather grim. there was no wifi in rooms. Our primary issue was that it is not really within walking distance of the part of town that is the fishing village...we tried to walk, but they are separated by water and abridge some distance from the hotel.

It was a very comfortable and peaceful hotel. We had a garden room with seating area. Had the weather been warmer we would have enjoyed seating in the garden and the swimming pool looked very inviting but we did not use it.
We did experience some difficulty in finding the hotel as there were no signposts from the port road. We were travelling by car so we had no problem but as the hotel is on the edge of the town, we felt a car was needed. Although the hotel has a restaurant, we did not eat there as we found the menu too rich for our taste. The breakfast was ok but perhaps a bit expensive.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Douarnenez. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The location was perfect – tucked away in a quiet zone behind a charming church, with stunning views of the sea from the hill. I loved how close it was to the museum and a popular seafood restaurant, Chez Fanch. It was so convenient for exploring the town.
Everything was perfect, I couldn't ask for more.

I loved the charming old furniture and huge windows in our room. The view of the sea was breathtaking, and the location next to a small beach in a quiet town was ideal for a relaxing break. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs, especially when it came to our big dog. We also enjoyed the delicious dinner menu served at the hotel restaurant.
Not one thing to dislike about the hotel or the location in the centre of town.

Our second stay at the Originals Relais and once again, everything was very good. the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. the pool was warm and enjoyable, perfect for relaxation. Our room was lovely, with rear access to a decked area, which was great for our elderly dog. the separate sitting area added a spacious feel to the accommodation. the small fridge was a useful addition. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent, along with the service. the overall atmosphere was relaxed and informal.
Nothing could be improved, it was a perfect stay! 😊

During our Christmas stay, we enjoyed the comfortable and spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. The early 20th-century main building and the modern wing were both charming and had a great location near the old port and town center. One of the best aspects of the hotel was the lovely garden view from our room.
The service at the restaurant was slow on one evening, and the hotel did not offer any information about its Sunday and Monday evening closures. the pool and the jacuzzi were dirty and needed better maintenance.

The attention to detail and the service provided by the staff were outstanding. I especially liked the rooms in the attic space, which had a cozy and quaint atmosphere. The breakfast had a good variety of options and was a great way to start the day.
All was fine, no major issues.
